Born and raised in Southern California, Mr. Martin attended Azusa Pacific University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. He graduated cum laude, and received a Distinguished Achievement Award in his field of study. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in 1989 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University in Fullerton, California in 1993. Mr. Martin passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt in July, 1993.
Prior to passing the California Bar Exam, Mr. Martin performed a clerkship in a prominent Orange County law firm specializing in construction and business law. He then went on to work for a well-known "boutique" firm in Newport Beach specializing in representing plaintiffs in medical product liability cases, banking-related law and business litigation. Finally, and prior to founding Martin O'Neill Lawyers, APC, Mr. Martin worked in a mid-size law firm which specialized in defending businesses of all sizes, dentists and construction companies in liability and tort claims. Utilizing the broad knowledge and skills obtained in such varying practice areas over the years, Mr. Martin founded Martin O'Neill Lawyers, APC to meet the needs of individuals small and large business owners and companies in handling a wide variety of legal issues.
Mr. Martin has been married since 1989 and he and his wife are raising two children. He resides in Orange County, California.
